Strange combination, no? And on a pizza, even more strange, right!?
Does it sound better if I tell you, in all actuality, I ordered a slice of tofu barbecue pizza, but the waitress misunderstood me and brought me a slice of tofu broccoli pizza. Do I get a gold medal for telling you, I ate the pizza, and kind of liked it? Like really kind of liked it. I mean sure, I wasn't certain about it at first... at first, I just stared blankly at my pizza, the green and white toppings staring back at me, the strange texture of broccoli resting on my cheese and tofu. It looked... strange (to say the least). I didn't know what to do. Of course (in true ME fashion), I wrestled with whether I should tell the waitress the truth, that she's brought me A MISTAKE- that she's mistakenly brought me a pizza with green tree-like veggie topping, or whether I should just spare the waitress and eat it?
Well, guess what. I ate it. In the end, I decided it took so long just to get that piece, I really didn't want to find out how long it would take to get another piece, and my nervous tummy (TM: Tessie) was telling me to eat the pizza. So, I did. And I kind of liked it, which surprised the hell out of me. I never thought I would be one for such a strange combination. But in all honesty, you really couldn't taste the broccoli. So, that made it okay. And the texture was strange, but it wasn't that strange.
So, now you know my take on tofu broccoli pizza. Perhaps, this makes my lack of LIFE obvious. POOR Homie.
Have you eaten anything as strange?

Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog! Sometimes it truly is a difficult thing to walk through life in a relationship with someone so much older than you -- but when you are SO MUCH in love it just all makes sense, no matter what! :)
By the way, I know it's an odd combo, but one of my very favorite things to ever eat is dill pickles in my mashed potatoes. I tried it as a dare (from my then 12-year-old niece) and absolutely LOVED it! You might want to give it a try sometime ... it's yummo! :)
